LEVY
Every property owner in Sandfield Park pays an annual levy to the Sandfield Park Roads Committee. The levy is a legal requirement enshrined in the 1923 and 1926 covenants. Levy notices are sent to each property owner by Langtons Chartered Accountants, who process payments and follow up any issues with residents in conjunction with the committee.
In 2021 the way the levy was calculated changed from a gross rateable value system, to a banding system. This decision came about in order to manage the levy in a fair and equitable way that is proportionate and transparent to all residents. The Liverpool City Council moved away from the GRV system which they used, when originally calculating council tax on properties. The Levy system mirrors the same calculations now used by the LCC.
The levy is set each year to meet the outgoing expenditure costs of maintaining Sandfield Park and to meet the costs of new projects within the park. The levy is agreed with residents annually at the AGM.
The levy is used for road and pavement maintenance, gully clearing, litter clearing, leaves clearing and collection, weed control and bin emptying. Consideration of planning applications, new developments on the park, health and safety issues, security, environmental issues and to improve the appearance of the park.
Each residential property has been placed into a band A - H that mirrors the Council Tax band of that property. The levy is a completely separate payment to the council tax payment and does not reflect any of the conditions applied to the council tax, other than being a fair way to band properties within the levy system.

The committee have agreed that a 25% discount will be applied for sole occupancy residents. This will be subject to the resident providing proof of sole occupancy. A copy of the council tax annual correspondence should be provided to the committee (all correspondence will be kept confidential). Please complete the form to apply for your discount. Banding System
SPRC levy charges 2025 (Before the early payment 10% discount applied).
All payments should be made no later than the 31st January 2025. Payments made after this date will incur a 50% uplift and any further delays in payments could be subject to additional legal fees and costs.
